Steve Wilkinson is a Managing Director with S&P Global Ratings in the Corporate Ratings group in New York. As a Sector Lead for the Leveraged Finance & Recovery team, Steve is involved with leveraged credit research, market outreach, criteria development, and analyzing recovery prospects for debt issued by speculative grade companies.

Before joining the leveraged finance and recovery analytics group in 2005, Steve was a credit analyst in S&P’s Media & Entertainment team with primary analytical responsibility for a diverse list of media companies including movie exhibitors, broadcasters, business-to-business firms, and leisure companies.

Steve has over 30 years in of experience in credit and finance and held various analytical and managerial positions in commercial banking and finance before joining Standard & Poor’s in 2000.

Steve earned his MBA in finance and management from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor of science degree in finance from Villanova University.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
