Stephanie Chin
Stephanie Chin has been empowering investor success for more than 20 years through published thought leadership research and speaking engagements. Stephanie is senior vice president of structured finance research for Morningstar DBRS and serves as head of U.S. asset backed securities (ABS) and structured credit research. She has written extensively on ESG, specifically, on the property assessed clean energy (PACE) market and regularly serves as a speaker at industry conferences. She also serves as chair of the firm’s editorial board.
In addition, she is a board member of PACENation, a non-profit dedicated to advancing energy renewal, energy efficiency, and resiliency upgrades in buildings. Stephanie is also the vice chair of the Structured Finance Association’s Women in Securitization group. Stephanie’s research has been cited in Frank Fabozzi books and published in The Journal of Structured Finance, with her article, titled “Earth, Wind and Fire: PACE Plays a Vital ESG Role,” being awarded the C-PACE Alliance’s Policy & Practice award and recognized as PACENation’s PACE Champion of the Year for her multi-year research efforts.
Stephanie holds a master’s degree in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Binghamton University’s School of Management.
