Ryan Hershberger is Director, Global Funding and Capital Markets based at Ford’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. In this role, he oversees the funding and capital markets initiatives for Ford, Ford Motor Credit Company and all of their global affiliates. Hershberger was named to this position in January 2019.

Hershberger was previously Director, Treasury Risk Management where he managed Ford’s global financial market risks including foreign exchange, commodities, and counterparty risks. He was also responsible for Ford’s global insurance programs.

Prior to that, Hershberger held several international positions, including Treasurer of FCE Bank plc, which is Ford Credit’s pan-European subsidiary based in Dunton, UK. While there, he ensured the funding and liquidity of FCE Bank and helped navigate the impact of the Brexit referendum. Hershberger was also Treasurer of Ford Asia-Pacific based in Shanghai, China. There, he was responsible for ensuring liquidity and capitalization of Ford’s automotive affiliates in Asia as well as funding Ford’s significant growth throughout the region.

Hershberger has held a number of additional positions in Ford Treasury including investment of Ford’s global cash and fixed income portfolios, securitization, and financial strategy.

A native of Michigan, Hershberger received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
