Mr. Piano joined Brean Capital in October 2016 and is based in our New York Office. Robert has over 22 years of experience in the securitization markets. Prior to joining Brean, Robert spent 5 years at KGS-Alpha Capital Markets in asset-backed capital markets banking and led a Principal Finance team. He spent the 9 previous years at Barclays Capital, primarily in esoteric ABS origination. Robert has worked with a wide variety of non-traditional asset classes, including renewable energy finance (solar, PACE), infrastructure, transportation, specialty finance, commercial receivables, and a variety of consumer assets. Robert has closed and funded over $15 billion of structured asset finance over the course of his career in ABCP conduit deals, structured loans, 144A term ABS placements, and Reg D private placements. Robert graduated with a BA in Foreign Languages from James Madison University and earned an MBA from Georgetown University. Robert holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 registrations.
