Jon Riber is a Senior Vice President and Senior Sector Lead in the ABS team at Morningstar DBRS. Jon has been with the company for 14 years. In his role, Jon primarily focuses on managing the rating of securitizations, warehouse facilities and forward flow transactions backed by student loans, solar contracts, home improvement loans, and other consumer assets. In addition to rating ABS transactions, Jon has developed and written several structured finance rating methodologies related to various types of consumer loans and residential mortgages. Prior to Morningstar DBRS, Jon spent 13 years working within structured finance at various investment banks. From 2003-2012, Jon was a member of the RMBS investment banking group at Citigroup where he focused on the origination and structuring of mortgage related transactions. From 1997 to 2003, Jon was a member of the ABS investment banking groups at Wachovia Securities and Prudential Securities where he focused on the origination of ABS transactions.
