Jamie Hutson has spent the last 5 1/2 years as an executive at GE spin out DSD Renewables. Jamie was the Chief Investment Officer of DSD, a leading national commercial and industrial solar developer, which Jamie spun out of GE with the executive team in 2019 with backing from BlackRock. At DSD Jamie was responsible for underwriting, capital markets and asset management, and led a first of its kind commercial Asset Backed Securitization in 2022, winning multiple industry awards. Under Jamie’s leadership at DSD, the company developed or acquired over 500MW of operating commercial solar assets, deploying over $2bn of project capital Prior to DSD, Jamie was a VP at GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services focused on utility scale renewable energy tax equity investments. Jamie has over $6 billion of renewable project finance transaction experience and has been one of the industry’s leading pioneers over the past decade. He received his MBA and a Master of International Affairs in energy economics from Columbia University. Jamie serves on several boards, including a distributed green hydrogen developer and his local youth lacrosse league. When he is not working, you’ll find Jamie outside and away from any screens, skiing, hiking or coaching lacrosse. Preferably with his wife, three daughters and their dog Fitz.
