Gavin Zhu is the head of US CLO Research at Barclays, focusing on both BSL and private credit CLOs, and is a Vice President in the US Securitization Research Group. Prior to joining Barclays in 2025, Gavin was the head of US CLO Research at Morgan Stanley, after having previously worked there as a CLO banking and structuring deal lead and beginning his career in ABS/Esoteric structuring. Gavin has been a ranked analyst each year in the Extel/Institutional Investor survey since joining research, and holds a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, summa cum laude from Princeton University.
