Erick May heads the banking effort for the Residential Structured Finance team within Securitized Products at J.P. Morgan Chase.  Erick’s team is responsible for using securitization to provide term financing for bank and nonbank residential mortgage originators.  The team also focuses on using securitization to syndicate warehouse finance risk and provide regulatory capital relief for banks, mortgage insurance companies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Erick was hired in 2013 to lead J.P. Morgan’s involvement in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s mandate to transfer credit risk on residential mortgages the GSE’s insured to institutional investors.  Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Erick started an advisory company that partnered with Hewlett Packard to provide mortgage solutions to originators and mortgage servicers.  Erick began his career at Wachovia Securities in 2000, and later moved to Morgan Stanley in 2003, where he was an Executive Director in its Global Securitized Products and Principal Credit Group. Erick is on the steering committee for the Black Leadership Forum and participates in recruiting efforts on behalf of the forum and Advancing Black Pathways at JPM. Erick has a B.A. in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Plasma Physics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
