Eric Rothfeld is Managing Director and Deputy Global Head of Fitch’s Commercial Mortgage New Issuance Rating team, with strategic and credit responsibilities for more than 90 analysts across New York, London, Chicago, and Toronto. Previously, Eric served as Head of the North American CMBS New Issuance Rating team.

With over 25 years at Fitch, Eric has analyzed a broad range of CMBS transactions, including conduit, fusion, single asset/single borrower, single-family rental, small balance, and Freddie Mac. Most recently, he has led Fitch’s initiatives in the expanding CMBS data center market across both CMBS and ABS. Eric is also a key contributor to the development and review of rating criteria for all CMBS product types and the publication of research in these markets.

Eric holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University in New York.
