Dan Chambers is the Sector Lead for New Assets at Morningstar DBRS responsible for executing new ratings and the development of rating methodology for new and emerging structured finance asset classes. He has deep ratings development experience across new sectors including Fiber, Towers, Data Centers, Aircraft and Transportation assets, Residential Solar, Agricultural loans, Music, and other Royalties.

Prior to Morningstar DBRS, Dan was a Managing Director in Fitch Ratings’ Cross Sector, New Assets and CMBS Groups responsible for developing ratings and criteria development for non-traditional ABS with an emphasis on commercial asset classes subject to operating risk, as well as non-performing loan, single family rental, and CRE CLO securitizations.

Dan earned a BA in finance from University of Richmond and an MBA from Fordham University.
