Daniel Strong joined SMBC in May 2018 in the Structured Finance Group to build the CLO arranger capabilities for the broker-dealer, SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. Currently, Daniel is responsible for the origination and structuring of private credit CLOs, including middle-market CLOs, as well as related advisory services.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel held banking roles at Capital One with its Financial Institutions Group since 2016 and before that at Natixis with its U.S. Structured Credit and Solutions Group since 2003. Prior to Natixis, he was with the U.S. Structured Credit division of S&P Global Ratings.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University with a major in quantitative finance and minors in mathematics and economics. Daniel is a CFA charterholder.
