Christopher Gilbert

Managing Director, Co-Head of Securitization Product Group, Natixis CIB

Chris Gilbert is the Co-Head of the Securitized Products Group in the Americas for Natixis. In this role, he has responsibility for the ABS, CLO, Asset-Based Lending and structured credit strategies in the Americas. Chris has deep experience in Middle Market and BSL CLOs, leading the firm’s strategy for financing portfolios of corporate credit and other financial assets in a variety of forms. In this role, Chris has assisted many direct lenders and BSL managers in launching financing strategies for both new and mature platforms, matching financing programs to portfolio and origination strategies for a wide variety of lenders. In addition, he has a focus on leading dialogs with strategic investors and financing partners who seek to deploy capacity in the US structured credit markets.

Chris joined Natixis in 2005 as a CLO structurer and has deep banking experience across both the Middle Market and Broadly Syndicated sectors. Prior to Natixis, he was an investment banker and credit analyst at Goldman Sachs. Chris began his career at a Peterson & Co, a consulting firm, where his primary focus was assisting the Resolution Trust Corporation in its resolution of insolvent savings and loan associations.

Chris holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BBA in Accounting from the College of William & Mary. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
