Brett Bushinger

Brett Bushinger is a Managing Director in Mizuho America’s ABS Debt Capital Markets Group focusing on consumer related asset backed securities in the auto, unsecured consumer, rental car, credit card receivables, recurring revenue loan, project finance / infrastructure and student loan sectors. Brett joined Mizuho to help build out and broaden its ABS business, but also to develop a lending effort focused on middle market loans and BDC financing. Brett has almost two decades of experience in origination, structuring, and marketing a variety of different securitized products for both private and public capital markets transactions.
Brett spent over 3 years as an Executive Director in SMBC’s Lender Finance Group, which focuses on both middle market and broadly syndicated loan financings, asset- based loans, CLO warehouses as well as building a program for recurring revenue and project finance assets. Prior to his role at SMBC, Brett was a Director for over 11 years at Citibank Global Markets Inc. within its Global Securitization and Financing business, where he focused on a range of products, including middle-market leveraged loans, consumer and esoteric assets in the auto, rental car, credit card receivables, and student loan sectors. Brett started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in 2005 in the Financial Instruments and Credit Group as a consultant with a focus on structured finance.
Brett has a dual Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from the Martin J. Witman School of Management at Syracuse University. Brett holds his FINRA series 7, 24, 79, and 63 licenses.
