Bilal Nasir is the Head of CLO Trading at BMO and joined to oversee trading in both US & EUR CLOs in October 2022. Bilal has over a decade of experience in trading, risk management, credit analysis and business strategy in both US & EUR CLO markets. Bilal was the Head of CLO trading at Deutsche Bank from 2019- 2022 and started his CLO trading career at BNP Paribas (2012-2019). Bilal’s focus within CLOs debt (particularly AAA and mezz tranches, along with equity in both US & EUR), also includes Middle Market and Recurring Revenue ABS/CLO sub sectors and he has led each of his prior franchises to achieve market leading standings in these sectors. Prior to CLOs, Bilal worked within Structured Credit at BNP Paribas to design relative value strategies for the CDX Tranche and Correlation trading businesses (2010-2012) and he started his career at Lehman Brothers, then Barclays Capital within quantitative fixed-income (credit) and equity research (2008-2010). Bilal holds a Masters in quantitative finance from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematics Sciences. He is a Series 7 and 63 licensed.
