Alex Cormas is the Head of CLO Business Development at UMB Bank.  He established the CLO Trustee and Collateral Administration business at UMB Bank in 2023 and oversees Business Development. 

Alex has specialized in the credit markets since 2000. His experience includes sales, trading, product development and risk management across securitizations, syndicated loans, and synthetic credit products. 

Prior to UMB, Alex was Head of Business Development for Trust & Agency Services, Americas at Deutsche Bank. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Alex worked in business development at Moody’s and as a credit default swap trader at Morgan Stanley.

Alex received his MBA from University of Notre Dame and B.S. from Saint Francis University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
